A brand new radio station, Glow 99.1fm has joined radio waves in Akure, Ondo State Capital city on Wednesday 21st, February, 2024
The opening ceremony was well attended by people of distinguished personalities, grade one royal fathers, such as His Royal Majesty, Oba Dr. Aladetoyinbo Ogunlade Aladelusi, the paramount ruler and deji of Akure Kingdom, His Royal Majesty, Oba Dr. Victor Kiladejo, the Osemawe of Ondo City and His Royal Majesty, Oba Adekunle Adebowale who represented His Imperial Majesty, Oba Enitan Ogunwusi, Ojaja 11, Ooni of Ife.
The multi billion naira project was blessed by highly respected religion leaders in Nigeria, Ondo State in particular, such as the Chief Imam of Akure Empire, Sheikh Dr. Abdul Hakeem Yayi Akorede Albarika and the General Overseer of Prayer Centre Church of God, Prophet Samson Oluwamodede.
The chairman of the glowing radio, Dr. Ezekiel Akande disclosed to journalists in an exclusive interview that the radio station is not just a business venture but a ministry to him.
Dr. Akande who agreed intoto with the professional submission of Dr. Abimbola Raph, the Head of mass communication department, Adekunle Ajasin University, Akungba Akoko promised to take good care of his workers and appreciated every individual that witnessed the inauguration of the only glowing radio station in Ondo State, Glow 99.1 FM.
