A strong political stàlwart in the State’s ruling party, All ProgressivesCongress, APC, Alhaji Jamiu Ekungba has bagged a prestigious honour, ‘Exemplary Islamic Leadership Award.”
The award was presented today to Chief Jamiu Ekungba by the highly respected Chief Imam of Akure Empire, Sheikh Alhaji Dr. Abdulhakeem Adekunle Yayi Akorede (Albarika) in his office at the Central Mosque, Akure.
The Ekan Agbara of Owo kingdom and a king maker in Owo kingdom, Chief Jamiu Ekungba who was unavoidably absent at the official presentation of the honour but sent a befitting and well respected representative appreciated the organisers of the Post Ramadan Lecture & Award held in the main auditorium of Nigerian Union of Journalists hall, Alagbaka, Akure on Sunday 5th April, 2025.
As earlier reported, some other distinguished Islamic leaders across the nooks and crannies of Ondo State were honoured to appreciate their performances in the society.
